Job Description

Objective/  Scope of task

  • The objective of this task is to assess the performance, practicality, and acceptability of modified SMC dispatch plans in sophisticated urban settings from the perspectives of implementers, policymakers, and caregivers/recipients.
  • The assessment will concentration on several key zones: the coverage of SMC, which includes the percentage of children receiving doses through various dispatch plans; the performance of oversight and SMS reminders; entry to gated households; the number of refusal households; and the reach through religious centers. Additionally, the study will collect qualitative data on carer and Health Facility Workers (CHW) perceptions of the modified dispatch plan.
  • Group consciousness and acceptance of the modified SMC plans will also be evaluated, which includes the percentage of caregivers and CHWs who possess heard about the plans and their level of acceptance.
  • The business practicality of executing the modified SMC plans will be assessed by examining asset qualifications and recognizing facilitators and obstacles to SMC entry and acceptance.
  • This complete assessment goals to guide future SMC dispatch in urban settings, supporting to the design of targeted and efficient malaria regulates that reduce the burden of malaria and enhance health results in urban populations.
  • The assessment method is segmented into 3 phases with timelines as indicated in Table 1.

Duties

  • Supervise the full scope of analysis project, making sure compliance to timelines and ethical standard procedures.
  • Development of development materials and project setup of data collection resources
  • Development of data collectors
  • Translation of questionnaires from English to Gbagyi.
  • Selection of the participants.
  • Organizing for the venue of the FGDs, IDIs and KII and planning the interviews etc.
  • Oversee data collection, both quantitative and qualitative, making sure precision and thoroughness.
  • Assist the preliminary evaluation of both quantitative and qualitative data, using suitable statistical and thematic methods.
  • Organize a preliminary documentation accompanied with PowerPoint visual communication.
  • Organize documented concluding documentation, condensing findings and offering strategic guidance.

Outputs:

  • Thorough SOP for the data collection methods, outlining targets, structured approach, timelines, and assets.
  • Advancement documented documentation highlighting key initiatives, hurdles, and preliminary findings after every 3 activity days.
  • Thorough development documentation
  • Complete documentation condensing the study's findings, findings, and strategic guidance within 5 operating days post endline data collection.
  • PowerPoint visual communication of outcomes.

  • For this role, previous operating expertise with MC and in SMC is a plus.
