About the position
The preferred candidate will be in charge of in-house lawful matters which includes composing agreements, dealing with adherence concerns, and engaging in bargain discussions. In order to triumph, this applicant should feel cozy operating with in-house and outside counsels on a range of lawful matters.
Duties Lawful Consultative:
Offer lawful direction for executive review and departments on compliance-related, binding, and corporate concerns. Analyze legal provisions, rulings, and rules for practical application in organizational processes.
Legal adherence:
Guarantee adherence with statutory obligations under Nigerian law and related industry rules. Coordinate with compliance-related bodies on filings, permits, and obligations (e.g., CAC, CBN, NCC, FIRS).
Business oversight:
Preserve corporate records, which includes board outcomes and filings. Assist executive guidance with lawful findings on strategic decisions.
Credentials
- LL.B and B.L (called to the Nigerian Bar)
- At least 5 years post-call expertise in corporate/business-related law
- Prior in-house expertise or exposure to financial technology, telecoms, or financial solutions is a plus.
