In Northeast Nigeria, across the states of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) child protection and child rights violations resumed to be reported. UNICEF pays a central in execution and synchronization of child protection interventions inside the humanitarian response in Nigeria, especially in the Northeast here are children disproportionately affected armed dispute. Prompt, precise and well-organized information management is critical for evidence-based strategic judgment, program organizing, support and donor status updates. The Child Protection Zone of Duty (CP AoR), co-guided by UNICEF, requires strong information management operational structures to guarantee efficient synchronization across associates, precise evaluation of child protection needs, supervising of response coverage and recognition of differences. In this circumstance, servicing & maintenance of current data collections, dashboards, maps and logical goods are critical and crucial. To strengthen the quality of information flow and make sure that data is systematically collected, evaluated and disseminated, UNICEF looks for the solutions of a advisor to strengthen information management operational structures and goods.
Objective of Activity / Task
The objective of this consultancy is to assist the UNICEF Child Protection Section in strengthening Information Management (IM) operational structures and goods. The Advisor will concentration on the development of specific IM outputs which includes data collections, dashboards, maps, and logical summaries that improve based programming, synchronization and support.
Scope of Work
- Mapping and adjustment of IM resources: evaluate, adjust and modify current information admin systems for child protection zone of duty (CP AoR), ending alignment with sector needs. Generate key results which includes data collections work collaboratively presence maps, dashboards and data visuals.
- Development and skills development: Offer IT assistance during the formation of resources for managerial standard procedure data collection, evaluation and status updates. Design and supply a minimum of five development and mentoring sessions for sector associates on IM resources and procedures which includes information security and secrecy guidelines. Offer user friendly development materials to assist sustained capacity.
- Generation of IM goods: Generate current data collections, maps and data visuals to efficient information programming, synchronization and support.
- Program evaluation: perform evaluation of UNICEF;s child protection response which includes coverage and contingency organizing. Formulate logical briefings along with visualized data collections and data visuals.
- Differences and needs evaluation: perform a complete evaluation of differences and needs in child protection, disaggregated by age, sex and risk exposure and generated a thorough evaluation documentation with current IM goods.
- Conclusive document: send a concluding consultancy documentation condensing initiatives, structured approaches, hurdles, lessons learned and strategic guidance for strengthening the child protection information management.

At least Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, Community-related Sciences or associated fields is essential.
- At least 5 years’ expertise in information Management in humanitarian or development setting
- Established history in conceptualizing and coordinating 5Ws, dashboards, mapping, CPIMS+ system.
- Solid understanding of child protection synchronization mechanisms and sectoral information needs.
- Proven expertise in data evaluation, status updates and visualization.
- Verified ability to supply development and skills development of associates and participants.
- Applicants possessing applicable expertise and a Bsc will be assessed
