Job Description

Duties

  • In charge of the project setup and evaluation of every month management accounts and other management documentation for management’s strategic judgment.
  • Assist the Chief, Finance in project setup of the yearly financial report yearly and periodic within and outside the organization audits and participating to auditors’ queries promptly.
  • Coordinating the Every month GL accounting alignment
  • Ensure Management Account is prepared and examined by the 3rd Operating day of every-month.
  • Aids coordinating the external audit process for balance sheet and income statement issuance and tax audits, desk assessments during interim and end of year audit exercises.
  • Track regularization of concerns elevated in external audit management letter an internal audit documentation.
  • In charge of analyzing the general ledger on a every month basis to identify and correct errors and incorrect postings to align all GL balances to the accounts and FS.
  • Synchronization and Coordinating of end of month Transaction entries - Before the 24th of every month GLs Interdepartmental Evaluate
  • Month end, every month Communication link with ALL unit-specific teams with input data feeding into the GL, to guarantee GL roles are balanced to unit-specific unit’s balances.
  • Supervise the servicing & maintenance of non-financial funding accounting prepayments and accruals plans and organize the every month transaction entries for posting.
  • Oversee the tangible asset register servicing & maintenance process and organize the every month asset value reduction transaction entry for posting.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bsc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • A post graduate academic qualification or Master of business administration in Finance Management or a associated discipline is a plus.
  • At least Six (6) years related experience with a minimum of three (3) years mid executive expertise ideally in an Coverage firm.
  • A specialist certification of Institute of Chartered Accounting officer of Nigeria (ICAN) or the Affiliation of Chartered Accredited Accounting officer (ACCA). Associate status is compulsory.
  • Robust Leadership abilities with strong level of competence & maturity.
  • Schedule control and capability to transaction with description.
  • Capability to show neutrality and enthusiasm to preserve honesty and reliability.
