Evaluator - Business finance at MTN Nigeria in Ikoyi, Lagos

Purpose

Help MTNN in meeting its financial and compliance-related obligations to its lenders and other counterparties and organize evaluation that will assist long-term liquidity management.

Explanation

• Organize Treasury annually financial plan, projections, every month financial plan variance documentation with Manager Business finance.
• Evaluate and organize Treasury documentation which includes cash collection documentation, FOREX exposure documentation by buying request, every month cash disbursement documentation to assist finance Management decision.
• Collect and interpret data on expenditures concerning CAPEX and OPEX to enhance cash projection.
• Serve as a focal point for Treasury Accounting duties, carrying out every month confirmation of credit interest and bank charges, reservation of banking investments, capital transfers, and earnings, analyzing documentation on vendor and postpaid collection sweeps, and organizing necessary documents for the end of year audit.
• Coordinate the management and settlement of MTF-associated payments (chief repayment, interest, and fees as they refer to borrowing).
• Track and verify the thoroughness and precision of business finance-associated General Ledger postings.
• Coordinate settlement and management of shareholders’ dividend allocation by helping with all exchange regulate authorizations needed, verifying settlement to the organization administrative assistant, and making sure precise posting on Oracle.
• Preserve funding records and an audit trail in full adherence with MTNN rules and standardized processes.
• Collate information concerning MTNN business for updating the Supplemental Information Memorandum to the lenders.
• Preserve industry standards as they refer to business finance rules, methods, and standardized processes. 
• Organize every month transaction entries (accruals and amortization plans) and ensure they are in line with accounting guidelines.
• Dispatch all approved documentation to lenders and financial institutions.

Teaching Certification

• Applicants should have a First Academic qualification in Accounting, Economics or any Finance associated discipline.
• Specialist certification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
• Fluent in English 

Expertise:

• 3 – 7 years’ expertise which includes:
• Expertise in the financial environment in business finance, accounting, and financial report evaluation
• Solid understanding of Enterprise platform planning (IFS)
• Expertise in Trade Finance
• Expertise in Management Information Status updates Application (OFA)
• Expertise in good accounting procedures and the Nigerian regulatory framework environment
• Expertise in Cash Management and Business finance
• Expertise in the corporate treasury environment
• Current expertise in the money and capital markets
