Position Overview

  • We are looking for an skilled and meticulous Finance controller to join our Finance team in an Human resources advisory firm.
  • The preferred candidate will be accountable for managing all financial processes, making sure adherence with compliance guidelines, and offering strategic financial findings to lead business expansion.
  • The successful applicant must possess demonstrated expertise in a advising environment and hold a applicable a member of a professional body (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).

Key Duties

  • Supervise all accounting and finance processes, which includes financial planning, predicting, money movement management, and finance reporting.
  • Formulate and execute financial rules, regulates, and standardized processes to guarantee adherence with statutory rules and industry standards.
  • Offer precise and prompt financial statements and evaluation to assist executive strategic judgment.
  • Collaborate with business unit key stakeholders and advisors to align financial plans with customer support dispatch and corporate targets.
  • Track income, project profit margin, and cost management across advising collaborations.
  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and legal adherence, coordinating with with auditors, tax governing bodies, and external participants.
  • Supervise wage processing methods, billing, customer invoicing, and ensure productive outstanding invoices and payables management.
  • Carry out risk evaluations and endorse plans to ensure protection of organisation assets and improve financial long-term viability.
  • Head and train the finance team, nurturing an environment that fosters responsibility, honesty and reliability, and ongoing development.
  • Support to strategic organizing and business development by offering financial forecasting and findings into new advising service lines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / Higher national diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field.
  • Compulsory a member of a professional body: ICAN, ACCA and CPA
  • At least 2 - 3 years’ expertise in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a advisory firm (Human resources advising expertise is a robust advantage).
  • Deep knowledge of finance Management within a specialist solutions or advising environment.
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian tax legal provisions, financial rules, and adherence qualifications.
  • Exhibited competence in budgeting, evaluation, and project profit margin tracking.
  • Competence in financial system (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and improved Excel spreadsheet software competencies.
  • Clear articulation, executive guidance, and stakeholder engagement competencies.
  • High professional conduct, logical thinking, and solution-oriented capability.
