Mechanical supervisor at African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML) in Kaduna

Role summary

To oversee and organize mechanical reliability initiatives in the plant, making sure tools reliability, minimal non-operational time, and safe operating procedures.

Primary duties

• Oversee daily mechanical reliability of plant tools (crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, thickeners, etc.).
• Assign duty to technicians and track position implementation.
• Assist organized, preventive, and corrective servicing & maintenance initiatives.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and guarantee promptness repairs.
• Preserve proper servicing & maintenance records and change documentation.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, license-to-work operational structures, and room maintenance services in work zones.
• Mentor and educate technicians and fitters to enhance competencies and effectiveness.
• Organize with processes and other departments to guarantee plant effectiveness.
• Ensure accessibility and proper use of spare parts, resources, and tools.
• Engage in shutdowns and key overhauls.

Credentials

• Certification / Higher national diploma / Academic qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Trade Test or equivalent technical accreditation is a plus.
• 5+ years’ expertise in mechanical reliability in a mining or heavy process plant.
• Expertise in crushers, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other heavy machinery.
