Position Explanation
The Staff Manager will play a central position in assisting the organizing, dispatch, and management of the AFCON 2025 staff, covering employees, voluntary assistants, and internship. The position blends monitoring of the Intern Programme — designed to supply both tournament-time assist and long-term legacy perks for CAF — with broader duties in staff planning, synchronization, and business assist.
Staff planning & Management:
- Assist the development and execution of the AFCON 2025 Staff Strategize which includes headcount tracking, planning, and deploying.
- Offer managerial monitoring across staff databases, agreements, and status updates.
- Help with logistics structured for staff (transport, meals, uniforms, accommodations as relevant).
Relation & Assist:
- Serve as a point of reach out for internship and employees, dealing with queries and offering daily assist.
- Ensure internship and staff members are combined into the wider tournament staff culture.
- Organize acknowledgment programs in collaboration with the Staff Relation & Communications Manager.
- Generate consistent staff and intern advancement documentation
- Capture lessons learned and industry standards for CAF’s ongoing employee development.
- Endorse pathways for successful internship to transition into paid or extended CAF positions.
Credentials & Expertise
- Bsc in Human resources, Event Management, Business Management, or relevant field.
- At least 5 years of expertise in staff management or large-scale event processes.
- Expertise conceptualizing intern, voluntary assistant, or employee development programs.
- Robust corporate and managerial competencies.
- Verified ability to oversee various participants in a dynamic environment.
