Civil Works Construction supervisor at a Global Integrated Energy Company - WTS Energy in Port Harcourt, Rivers (Offshore & Onshore Locations)

Position Overview

 Ensure safe oversight of all civil works initiatives comprising of roads, drilling sites, concrete works, structural steel installation works for buildings etc.

Duties

• Make sure that civil works are safely carried out to the necessary project drawings and requirements.
• Ensure project Quality assurance/Quality control (QA and quality assurance) measures are fulfilled.
• Make sure that materials for building are of the necessary quality.
• Evaluate and examine concrete blend designs for concrete field experiment mixes.
• Help in conceptualizing checklist for on-site works and laboratory running test initiatives.
• Evaluate of vendor’s project outputs e.g. ITP, Work Method Statement, Quality assurance/Quality control Strategize etc.
• Execute on-site and laboratory assessment/oversight for concrete cube project setup and workability test.
• Execute on-site and laboratory assessment/oversight for classification and power test for road subgrade, sub-base and base material.
• Confirm calibration status of third-party laboratory running test devices and tools.
• Help in conceptualizing concrete track register for all concrete compressive power tests outcomes.
• Documentation Non conformances (NCR) to position standard and requirements and ensure any observed NCR documentation are promptly closed out.
• Assemble punchlist items and ensure prompt close out before concluding hand over of facility to asset owner.
• Confirm that necessary recordkeeping are finished before on-site mobilization.
• Make sure that valid PTW is accessible and approved for the position routine.
• Confirm vendor’s tools mobilized to on-site are those premobbed before use on silo
• Organize daily update of the project status with description of staff, material and tools in-field.
• Evaluate/updating of WBS in line with work advancement.
• Interpret data/information produced on finished projects as a basis for advancement on future roles.

HSE:

• Ensure and advance the application of the organization Health, safety, and environment regulations and requirements.
• Make sure that service providers adhere at all times with safety regulations, taking actions as necessary in case of disregard of the regulations, stopping the works if they are deemed unsafe, and arranging instrument-box sessions and recovery strategies.
• Advance safety culture within Employees and service providers in addition to the status updates of anomalies
• Ensure and track the safety of staff and system setups in addition to protection of the environment.
• Pursue within his team the Health, safety, and environment targets defined by his line management.
