OSP Servicing & maintenance Manager at ipNX Nigeria Limited in Lagos

Position Overview

The Outside Plant (OSP) Manager manages servicing & maintenance of ipNX fiber optic & civil work initiatives on the outside plant network. The OSP Manager will be participated in the day -to- day servicing & maintenance and management of the outside plant, taking into deliberation client and Local authority entities in the servicing & maintenance of the fiber outside plant. The position is anticipated to engage a significant element of on -on-site presence.

Duties

• Corporate Clients: Restore service defeats within 3hours of its occurrence Execution and consolidation of new projects and verify that every launch system issue tickets are closed within this timeframe.
• In-store Clients: Restore service defeats within 12 hours of its occurrence.
• System issue Management Information exchange: Offer prompt response for input into the OTRS application with information concerning initiatives being carried out to settle client support incidents.
• Proactively recognize, strategy and implement preventive servicing & maintenance action on the fibre network.
• Audit and collate information for the fiber outside plant network. Organize the as preserved documents within region/sub-region handled for the O &M Unit.
• Ensure on a weekly basis assist status documentation are done and provided prompt for evaluate
• Activate FOS Client requests within 3 days of sign up.Sign-off the Client response Form, organize and send post-activation documentation.

Credentials / Expertise

• Applicants should have a Academic qualification in Telecoms, Engineering or Submitted application Sciences.
• A minimum of 2 years in telecommunications industry, with expertise in Fiber network deployments and outside plant servicing & maintenance.
• Expertise in civil works oversight & quality assurance.
• Expertise in processing ROW Permit with Local Governing bodies/State Compliance-related Agencies.
• UX for Office productivity software Resources which includes a good practical understanding of Microsoft Project.
• UX for Visio/AutoCAD/Geographic information system resources is wanted.
• Clear articulation competencies.
• Capability to solve sophisticated challenges in the shortest accessible time using honed critical thinking.
• Good people skills with clients, vendors, team members and local group
• Proven track records of servicing & maintenance and management of metro and/or long-distance fibre optic structure.
• Sound expertise in telecom standardized best practices, norms and technical qualifications with regard to fibre & civil work servicing & maintenance.
• FTTx and/or P2P fibre deploying and servicing & maintenance expertise are distinct advantages i.e. fibre termination using fusion splice machines, running test & evaluating fibre links with OTDR and Light Acquire/Power Meters (LSPM), recognizing fibre cores with VFLs.
• Competent of comprehension fibre network architectures, designs & splice strategies.
• An inherent culture of documenting brief and precise “As-Is” status of network elements and splice setup, in a regular manner.
• Understanding with the qualifications of Health & Safety legislation in Nigeria.
