Role summary

We are looking for a initiative-driven and skilled Workplace safety and wellness Officer to join our branch in Agbara. The successful applicant will be in charge of supporting a safe operating environment, making sure adherence with work-related workplace safety and wellness rules and pushing programs to reduce office risks and risks.

Duties

• Formulate, execute and ensure adherence to health, safety and ecological rules in line with compliance obligations.
• Carry out consistent office inspections and risk evaluations, endorsing corrective actions where necessary.
• Supply safety development, toolbox talks and consciousness programs for employees.
• Explore accidents, incidents and near-misses and organize thorough documentation with strategic guidance.
• Preserve precise workplace safety and wellness records and organize every month adherence documentation.
• Coordinate possessing applicable compliance-related bodies to guarantee adherence with statutory obligations.
• Advance a robust workplace safety and wellness culture across all operational units.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Work-related Health & Safety, Ecological Science, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field requiring at least 3 to 5 years within a production operations or industrial environment.
• Specialist Qualifications which includes NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISPON is a plus.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and ecological legal provisions and rules.
• Clear articulation, executive guidance and analytical abilities.
• Capability to operate independently and in a collaborative environment.
