HSSE Manager at a Liquefied and Compressed Gases Company in Victoria Island, Lagos

Position duties

• Formulate a complete Health, safety, and environment and QA plan and strategy based on the Affiliation’s entire plans and strategies for the industry.
• Ensure distribution and efficient deploying of information on high standard Health, safety, and environment operational structures, methods and strategies to participants and track uptake / adherence.
• Advance the development and adoption of Crisis-management and risk reduction strategies across the industry.
• Build on the current development inside the Affiliation’s Health, safety, and environment faculty on development program and advance the interest and consciousness of same amongst members, industry participants and the general public.
• Recognize, assign and educate safety staff at the Secretariat and chapters and keep these asset employees abreast of the ongoing Health, safety, and environment guidelines, rules and legal provisions. Utilise same in supervising site Health, safety, and environment incidents and getting ready documentation for the members / industry.
• Coordinate with supporting compliance-related agencies and lead conformity between their Health, safety, and environment Statutory qualifications.
• Carry out audits of member facilities and system setups to guarantee compliance to Health, safety, and environment guidelines of effectiveness and the elimination of all unsafe terms and procedures by their employees and/or clients.
• Arrange and preserve standard HSW consciousness for members and other participants and introduce them with all structured on fire prevention and regulate, in addition to work-related health and first assist.
• Advance, arrange and oversee the Affiliation’s Health, safety, and environment consciousness development program in such consistent calendar manner as to produce income for the Affiliation according to set income targets.
• Coordinate with associates and asset persons to enhance the potentials for affiliation’s Health, safety, and environment development faculty.
• Explore all incidents and near misses and render prompt documentation with strategic guidance for the prevention of future occurrence.
• Organize on a weekly basis / every month Health, safety, and environment status reports for members / participants.

Credentials

Interested applicants should have applicable credentials with 5 years work expertise.
