Job Description
Primary goal of the Role
Establish, execute and check in epidemiological initiatives, making sure the proper execution of procedures, the development of suitable structured approach and the quality of studies to detect threat factors for diseases and assessing most effective treatment approaches to clinical practice and for preventive medicine to be used in the missions.
General Accountabilities
- Establish, timetable and arrange, in close partnership with other medical team members, the yearly epidemiological activity strategy in addition to its connected financial plan in order to enhance early discovery of risk factors to better establish treatment approaches and preventive procedures.
- Head the execution of the procedures and epidemiological structured approach, making sure all associated employees follows them in order to enhance analysis effectiveness
- Oversee, according to yearly strategize epidemiological analysis activity making sure:
- That connections with group groups and governing bodies are in sync with the targets of the analysis
- That the population engaging in the analysis is properly informed
- Status updates on the advancement of data collection, on ongoing evaluation of analysis or on any problem causing postponement is done in order to attain epidemiological targets on time.
- Advise the MSF medical team on epidemiological matters that arise in the course of their activity analysis, and, as required, design and execute epidemiological resources and data collection to meet new epidemiological needs.
- Ensure , in synchronization with logistics department, that national or international shipment of laboratory samples obtained for analysis purposes is done within datelines and according to procedures, following guard regulations and keeping terms needed for the sample
- Oversee data submitting standardized processes making sure that all epidemiology applications are properly used and are current routinely, in order to guarantee full data traceability and accessibility
- Strategy and oversee, in close synchronization with the Human resources department and the MSF aspiration, rules and values, the connected methods (role summary, hiring process, development, performance check, development and internal/external information exchange) of the epidemiological employees in order to guarantee both the sizing and the amount of expertise necessary, enhance people technical capabilities, payment and their dedication to MSF values.

Outbreak response:

- Possibly carry out vaccine coverage or other vaccine associated studies.
- Organize the evaluation for Sitrep
Purpose-level surveillance:
- Ensure consistent, prompt receipt MoH surveillance data for ongoing evaluation of epidemic diseases;
- Preserve consistent reach out with other surveillance associates (NCDC, WHO, UNICEF, etc.)
- Stand for MSF-OCA Purpose at surveillance/cluster sessions;
- Based on incoming data and evaluation, compose and circulate on a weekly basis surveillance documentation to distribute across synchronization;
- Offer input on project-level medical plan and interventions;
- Help Medco with organizing and entire medical plan using surveillance evaluation.
Expertise:
