Fleet Manager at Mactay Consulting in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Position Overview

The Fleet Manager manages the daily processes of the organization’s fleet, making sure all vehicles are preserved directing drivers, managing vehicle repairs and servicing & maintenance, tracking vehicle usage, and making sure adherence with transport and safety rules.

Primary duties

• Oversee the organization’s fleet of vehicles and ensure most effective deploying and effectiveness.
• Timetable and track vehicle servicing & maintenance, servicing, and repairs to reduce non-operational time.
• Track fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle effectiveness using fleet management software or data records.
• Allocate vehicles and drivers to roles and track trip advancement and dispatch timelines.
• Guarantee adherence with all transport rules, authorizing, and coverage qualifications.
• Preserve precise records of fleet processes, which includes driver data records, system issue documentation, and servicing & maintenance record.
• Carry out consistent vehicle inspections to guarantee safety and roadworthiness.
• Track driver effectiveness, offer learning, and guarantee alignment to organisation pushing guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors, mechanics, and service vendors for vehicle servicing & maintenance and repairs.
• Manage accident documentation, coverage requests, and corrective measures connected with vehicle misuse or violation.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have an Higher national diploma / Bsc in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Management, or relevant field.
• At least 3-5 years of related experience in fleet or transport processes.
• Solid understanding of vehicle servicing & maintenance, road safety, and transport rules.
• Skilled in Office productivity software and fleet management software/resources.
• Outstanding corporate, executive guidance, and analytical abilities.
