Position Overview

The Team supervisor, Tax and Cost Management, will be accountable for managing the bank's tax adherence, expense management methods. This position requires making sure the bank aligns with tax legal provisions, while executing cost management plans that optimize process effectiveness.

Duties

• Ensure full adherence with tax legal provisions, which includes but not limited to VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other local taxes.
• Organize and file all tax and compliance-related returns precisely and prompt in accordance with the applicable authority qualifications.
• Prompt and precise tax filings.
• Successful finalization of within and outside the organization audits
• Recognize avenues for cost optimization and endorse measures to improve the profit margin of the bank
• Serve as the primary point of reach out for tax governing bodies, managing any tax audits and making sure the bank is readied for any assessments.
• Advise management on tax implications for decisions made and endorse tax plans to reduce financial obligations while remaining conforming.
• Ensure proper recordkeeping of all tax filings and documentation for audit purposes.
• Evaluate financial effectiveness data and offer practical findings to reduce business expenditures without compromising on quality.
• Ensure precision in finance records and tax filings.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have an Higher national diploma / Bsc with 4 - 7 years of expertise.
• Capability to formulate long-term tax plans that match with strategic objectives.
• Expertise in coordinating, inspiring, and conceptualizing a team
• Robust verbal and professional writing competencies, with the capability to participate productively with both internal teams and external auditors.
• Competent of balancing various duty and delivering consistently.
• Specialist qualifications which includes ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accounting officer of Nigeria), ACCA (Affiliation of Chartered Accredited Accounting officer), or CITN is essential.
