Role Overview

As the Manager, you will serve as the bridge operation between Zone Sales and Processes with the goal to grow lucrative Inland volume and enhance Inland product project sample. You will assist formulate the Zone Inland plan and establish Zone-level Inland aspiration for the next financial plan year (volumes, profit margin, Inland distribute, etc.) based on the Regional Inland target in alignment with Sales, Processes, and Trade Management

Inland Product Owner:

  • Collect input on the market (from other Zone Inland processes) which includes possibility transport initiatives for different modes and comprise of product needs in the concluding product presenting
  • Recognize Inland value propositions and assist Sales with tangible product information
  • Fulfill the role of main PoC for the Account Managers on product-associated Inland questions
  • Lead the recognition and development of applicable Inland goods and establish the Inland network plan by carrying out necessary evaluation on underserved/overserved sites, tools levels etc.
  • Own the capacity requirement predicting documentation and engage in active management of capacity accessibility and utilization.
  • Evaluate fixed capacity qualifications based on business and operations data
  • Assist procurement on vendor talks and SLA definition to constantly enhance and extend the vendor base.
  • Strategy and oversee strategic vendor connections

 Credentials

  • A minimum of 5 years’ expertise in shipping/container steering
  • Strategic thinker who is client centric
  • Expertise in sales and processes of trucking industry will be a plus.
  • Expertise operating in Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo and Angola will be a plus
  • Performed in a trucking or transmitting industry with practical experience in product development for trucking corridors 
  • Assertive negotiator
  • Meticulousness.
  • Team player with a initiative-driven mindset
  • Capability to operate under pressure, objective and time sensitive.
  • Very good documented English competencies (French is a plus)
  • Good comprehension of Microsoft applications.
  • Thorough expertise in port-based applications (Navis, ICUMS etc.) and recordkeeping standardized processes.
  • Capability to operate on several operational structures at the same time and analyze the data
  • Successfully finished business-related development or similar studies in Business, Commerce, Sales, Engineering, Logistics or similar
  • Several years of industry experience in shipping, transmitting or logistics, ideally in sales or processes
  • Outstanding comprehension of Inland transport, in addition to ocean shipping markets
  • Strong insight of Inland transport effectiveness measurement
  • Well-conceptualize logical thinking and innovative analytical abilities with high level of plan, capability to operate in a team and assertiveness.
  • Robust speaker with expertise in management level communications.
