Generation Manager - Assembly Plant at Simba Group Nigeria Limited in Ogba, Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a outcomes-driven and skilled Generation Manager to head our Assembly Plant processes, making sure the prompt, cost-efficient, and premium quality result of finished goods. The preferred candidate will bring a solid experience in assembly line setup, lean production operations, team lead, and interdepartmental alignment across a agile shop floor. Practical experience with vehicle assembly, battery consolidation, modular operational structures, or semi/fully automated lines will be highly advantageous.

Primary duties

• Strategize arrange, and oversee daily processes of the assembly lines to meet generation targets in terms of volume, quality, cost, and timelines.
• Track and regulate generation plans, asset distribution, takt time, and process balancing.
• Head, educate, and oversee assembly supervisors, line key stakeholders, and technicians, nurturing an environment that fosters responsibility and ongoing development.
• Organize with Stock Chain, Quality, Servicing & maintenance, and Technical groups for smooth implementation of assembly processes.
• Evaluate and enhance productivity indicators – OEE, non-operational time, cycle time, rejection %, and rework levels.
• Ensure full compliance to safety, quality, and ecological guidelines (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 / Environmental health and safety procedures).
• Lead execution of Lean resources (Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, TPM, SMED) and issue resolution frameworks (PDCA, RCA, FMEA).
• Oversee material flow on the shop floor using Just-In-Time (JIT), pull operational structures, or digital assembly regulate operational structures.
• Assist NPI (New Product Introduction) ramp-up, changeovers, and process confirmation at the assembly line.
• Documentation generation effectiveness to top level management and endorse enhancements in plant processes and effectiveness.
• Play a main responsibility in combining new technical solutions which includes robotic or semi-automated operational structures, especially in vehicle or battery assembly lines, to improve throughput and effectiveness.

Necessary Credentials

• Bsc or Certification in Mechanical / Generation / Industrial / Automobile Engineering.
• 8–15 years of expertise in assembly shop or production operations plant, ideally in automotive, EVs, or heavy tools industries.
• Established history in coordinating generation teams in high-speed, multi-model or variant assembly processes.
• Competence in using Enterprise platform planning/MES operational structures and MS Workspace resources for generation supervising and status updates.
• Solid understanding excellent quality resources, lean production operations, and team lead.
