About the Avenue
ONE is looking for a Personnel Partner (HRBP) to own and lead Human resources and Hiring assist in a advisory and strategic manner for ONE’s processes in Africa. The Africa HRBP will be in charge of offering informed opinion, in addition to strategic and tactical assist and execution of Worldwide Human resources programs, especially for ONE employees based in Africa. The candidate will collaborate with the Human resources Director and Head People Officer to formulate and direct the execution of HR rules, strategies and programs across Africa and also take a position in worldwide programs. This role will be based in Abuja, and will answer to the Human resources Director and possess a dotted status updates line to the Africa Chief executive.
Qualifications
- Bsc in HR Management, Business, or associated discipline and 8 years HR expertise or; Master’s Level academic qualification and 5-8 years’ of directly associated expertise
- Significant expertise assisting employees on variety of Human resources concerns with a concentration on workplace engagement, human resource management and business improvement
- Exhibited capability to successfully shape and liaise with all levels from employees to top level management.
- Membership of a Human resources specialist company is firmly preferred
- Expertise of conducting analysis and interpreting employment regulation and compliance-related concerns in South Africa and Nigeria is essential; expertise in other sub-Saharan African countries is firmly inspired.
- Exhibited competencies in the zones of: issue resolution, operational structures thinking, diplomacy, dispute settlement and shaping competencies.
- Exhibited success in coordinating talks and managing people in difficult situations; demonstrable expertise in employee mediation and arbitration would be a plus in this position.
- High level of computer literacy with specialist competence with Excel and expertise of using and competence in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

- Cultural sensitivity, gravitas and respect, but also a great sense of humor.
- Expertise in strategic business scene changes and adjustment management is desirable
- Expertise of operating in a similar capacity for an international or NGO company is desirable
- Interest in international development and Africa is preferred
Linguistic ability:
Fluency in English necessary. Fluency in French is a distinct advantage.
Commute:
Occasional domestic commute (5-10%) may be necessary. Additional international and/or domestic commute avenues may occur.
