Manager, Direct Procurement - Middle East and Africa at BIC Nigeria in Sagamu, Ogun

Role summary

The Procurement Implementation Manager is in charge of the execution of the procurement plan and for the implementation of the procurement initiatives and events, in addition to for smooth and conforming negotiating execution assisting the entire business and the granting Tenders’ stage. The SE Manager must implement the respective procurement initiatives for allocated categories in close partnership with entire P&PE team with concentration inside the MEA region. He / She should assist cost optimization for direct and indirect spend categories, sustain or enhance standard and dispatch, preserve or reduce risk in the stock chain.

Duties

• Execute Regional procurement implementation plan, partnering with the stock managers team, and oversee the development and completion  of team KPIs
• Implement RfX, use full data, data analysis and Reco for Supplier Selection to Stock Management, Formulate, initiate auction outcomes , implement tendering Process (with Supplier, Business) and ensure smooth supplier on-boarding process (prior any RfX in case of new granted suppliers)
• Recognize promise suppliers, track, assess and convey effectiveness, formulate and oversee long-term supplier connections that improve capabilities
• Assist the bargain and execution of stock agreements, by operating with cross-operational participants and suppliers to reach accord on most effective agreement conditions and terms
• Head procurement implementation initiatives for allocated categories and within accepted thresholds
• Evaluate industry top goods cost indicators and publications to lead attractive costing and minimize cost connected risk in partnership with stock executive team.
• Oversee communications with suppliers regarding adherence qualifications and compliance to business and governance policies.
• Implement spot offers triggered by business procurement methods in case it is essential, and assist is needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or MSC in Engineering, Stock chain / Procurement or Business management.
• 5+ years of related experience in direct procurement of unedited materials procurement
• Expertise in getting ready tenders for direct procurement
• Nimble, capability to transaction with ambiguity and sophisticated conditions
• Capability to operate cross-operationally across Middle east and Africa
• Effective communication competencies
