Position Overview

The Generation Manager is accountable for managing and coordinating every facet of chemical generation initiatives, making sure effectiveness, quality, safety, and adherence with industry rules. This position requires effective guidance and a strong insight of chemical production operations methods to lead productivity while preserving the highest guidelines of health, safety, and ecological procedures.

Primary duties

• Strategize organize, and regulate all production operations processes to meet generation targets in line with organisation targets.
• Supervise the formulation, blending, batching, and wrapping methods to guarantee precision, uniformity, and quality.
• Ensure full compliance to safety, health, and ecological rules (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, ISO guidelines).
• Oversee, educate, and formulate the generation team, which includes supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Track generation effectiveness, evaluate KPIs, and execute corrective actions where necessary.
• Organize with Quality assurance, Servicing & maintenance, Stock Chain, and other departments for smooth processes.
• Formulate and oversee generation financial plans, reduce waste, and enhance asset utilization.
• Ensure proper servicing & maintenance of plant machinery and tools in synchronization with the engineering team.
• Head ongoing development programs (e.g., lean production operations, 5S, Kaizen) to enhance effectiveness and product standard.
• Organize consistent generation documentation and show status reports to top level management.

Credentials and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree / Higher national diploma in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or associated discipline.
• 9 - 12 years of expertise in chemical or associated production operations industries, with a minimum of 6 years in a executive position.
• Demonstrated expertise in coordinating generation teams and methods in a controlled environment.
