Position Overview
We are looking for an skilled and initiative-driven Human resources Manager to supervise all HR processes and ensure alignment with our business targets at our steel production operations facility in Odongunyan, Ikorodu. The preferred candidate will play a main responsibility in shaping organisation culture, pushing Human resources plan, and coordinating core Human resources processes which includes hiring process, workplace engagement, results tracking, and adherence.
Primary duties
- Supervise comprehensive Human resources processes at the plant, which includes hiring process, orientation, workplace engagement, and employees welfare.
- Execute and track Human resources plans in sync with the entire business direction.
- Preserve and ensure adherence to Human resources rules, standardized processes, and statutory adherence in line with Nigerian work legal provisions.
- Assist unit-specific heads in labor organizing and guarantee promptness manpower planning.
- Oversee disciplinary methods, grievance managing, and employee relation programs.
- Ensure precise Human resources recordkeeping which includes agreements, staff files, and records.
- Track presence, depart, and wage processing inputs in partnership with the accounts/wage processing team.
- Organize development and development initiatives for employees at various levels.
- Carry out periodic effectiveness appraisals and ensure goal execution of KPIs.
- Promote a healthy and efficient office culture attentive on safety, collaboration, and ongoing development.
Qualifications
- Bsc in HR, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or a relevant field. Specialist qualifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) are a desirable asset.
- 8 –15years of progressive Human resources expertise, with a minimum of 3 years in a executive position (ideally in production operations or heavy industry).
- Solid understanding of Nigerian work legal provisions and Human resources industry standards.
- Practical experience with HRIS or wage processing operational structures.
- Outstanding interpersonal, information exchange, and management abilities.
- Capability to operate in a agile and dynamic industrial environment.
- Must reside within or be open to relocation to Odongunyan/Ikorodu axis.
