Project Supervisory role at the Management Sciences for Health (MSH) in Abuja

Role summary

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is looking for a Project Supervisory role for a possibility Worldwide Financial support (GF) project, which will offer one or more structure agreements (FAs) with selected suppliers to guarantee the ongoing power of the Worldwide Financial support’s response against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria (“HTM”) with the rising effects of climate adjustment and in particular Climate-Informed Advance notice Operational structures (CI-EWS) for disease surveillance. FAs will establish the terms and terms under which specific TA tasks will be agreed.   This role is subject to project honor and financing.  Responsibility station is adaptable to other sites in Africa.

Entire Duties 

The Supervisory role (TL) is a key executive guidance role and is a visionary leader and domain specialist who will lead the strategic execution and operations excellency to supply technical support in combining climate and other applicable ecological data into current operational structures to improve advance notice capacity for climate-sensitive diseases (CSDs). Additionally, the TL will be in charge of conceptualizing and institutionalizing Climate-Informed Advance notice Operational structures (CI-EWS) that assist multi-disease surveillance and risk-based actions within national community health institutes and other compliance bodies with established cross-sectoral mandates in health crisis preparedness and response. With full responsibility for programme success, the TL will head a multifaceted team to supply influential outcomes in alignment with GF targets, binding qualifications and MSH guidelines.   The TL possesses full responsibility and authority for the development, implementation, and supervising of the programme, which includes (1) aspiration and technical plan; (2) project coordination and adherence; (3) recordkeeping and information exchange; (4) customer and participant connections; and (5) synchronization and synergy with other applicable programs and partnership with GF and organizer country government counterparts and associates. The TL speaks for the programme to the GF and partnering country governments, private sector, and worldwide participants.    

Project and Team lead: 

• Ensure efficient agreement/accord execution in full adherence with agreement/accord clauses, MSH and donor rules and Standard Operating Standardized processes (SOPs). 
• Ensure project manpower planning, framework and status updates connections are in sync with project needs, local circumstance and accessible assets.   
• Oversee and train the project team as per MSH rules and standard procedures and execute an efficient effectiveness-management programme which includes routine inspection-ins, yearly appraisals, helpful oversight, benefits, development, mentoring and professional development assist. 
• Produce an environment conducive to partnership, learning, and efficiency boost among the multidisciplinary, global programme team.  
• In collaboration with the Finance director and Management, execute an efficient financial plan supervising and expense management system based on sound financial and accounting principles, MSH Standard Operating Standardized processes, and donor qualifications.  

Qualifications

•  A postgraduate Academic qualification in Community health, Climate Science, Climate Regulatory framework, or relevant field is essential. 
• At least 10-15+ years of expertise in combined disease surveillance and advance notice operational structures with track document in top and coordinating a cross-sectoral and multi-participant climate-informed surveillance and advance notice system in low-earnings and lower-middle earnings country situations. 15+ years firmly preferred, 
• Established history and competencies in combining applicable climate data into current combined, One Health, and/or cooperative surveillance and advance notice operational structures for priority climate-sensitive diseases in low-earnings and lower-middle earnings country situations. 
• Specialized skill in community health, epidemiology, surveillance, digital health, or health compliance. Expertise in and expertise in climate and ecological data and information operational structures would be an significant asset. 
• Expertise with conceptualizing climate-informed advance notice operational structures which includes:  
• Proven expertise in operating with climate and meteorological data and a deep knowledge of it application in community health situations.  
• Robust statistical competencies to build country capacity (individual and institutional) to evaluate the links between climate and health, especially in engagement to climate-sensitive diseases  
• Expertise in conceptualizing climate-combined logical and predictive operational structures that assist the tracking, forecasting, and prompt reply to priority climate-sensitive diseases outbreaks 
• Previous corporate expertise offering targeted technical support on surveillance operational structures strengthening for climate-sensitive diseases that are tailored to LMICs which includes dispute and fragile country situations 
• Capability to build general agreement amongst a variety of views and sophisticated personal and inter-corporate dynamics. 
• Prior corporate expertise offering worldwide climate and/or health regulatory framework, plan and analysis inputs that lead transformation. 
• Exhibited executive guidance and management abilities.   
• Prior expertise and success leading similar or larger international donor-financed projects in Africa.  
• Exhibited strategic organizing and visioning competencies.  
• Understanding with GF rules and managerial standardized processes in the execution of donor helped projects. Prior corporate expertise in partnering with GF and good expertise in GF investments in HTM programs, health operational structures, and pandemic preparedness and response. 
• Documented performance of aligning multifaceted, multi-level teams with project purpose and direction abd building general agreement amongst broad spectrum of views and sophisticated personal and inter-corporate dynamics. 
• Track document of robust dedication to exchanging expertise, documenting experiences, assisting innovative programs, and exchanging credit.   
• Exhibited capability to build and sustain connections with executive top level teammates, especially interacting efficiently, proactively, and comfortably with high level government authorities and agencies, international Nonprofit organizations, private sector groups, and donor entities. 
• Exhibited strategic quickness, diplomacy, dispute management, team building, documented and spoken communication information exchange, and bargaining ability. 
• Fluency in English necessary.
