Job Description

Position Overview

The Manager, project will supervise every facet of design, procurement, building, and synchronization for the refurbishment and development of the campus. The position requires effective guidance, participant relation, and a strong insight of building dispatch within Nigeria’s compliance-related and teaching circumstance.

Primary duties

  • Oversee daily project initiatives which includes organizing, timelines, and dispatch.
  • Organize with architects, service providers, engineers, MEP advisors, and government governing bodies.
  • Coordinate with the institution's executive team and Ministry of Education and/or Culture to guarantee alignment with teaching guidelines.
  • Supervise procurement methods and tendering for service providers and tools suppliers.
  • Preserve standards regulate and ensure works meet accepted requirements and codes for teaching buildings.
  • Track financial plans, problem monitoring documentation, and guarantee promptness finalization of achievements.
  • Recognize and mitigate threats, fixing problems as they arise.
  • Organize consistent project status reports and demonstrations for within and outside the organization participants.

Certification & Expertise

  • Academic qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Management, or a relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of industry experience in project coordination positions.
  • Demonstrated expertise coordinating building or refurbishment projects for universities, schools, or development centers in Nigeria.
  • Robust understanding with Nigerian building rules and government tendering procedures.
  • Expertise operating with regulatory bodies, donors, or private-sector investors will be an added advantage.
  • Clear articulation, executive guidance, and bargaining ability.

Preferred Traits:

  • PMP or PRINCE2 Accreditation.
  • Exhibited capability to oversee interdisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise operating on innovative or technical education facilities (media, arts, STEM).
  • Skilled in project coordination software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
