Position Overview
- We are seeking a proficient and safety-attentive Rigging Manager to supervise and implement sophisticated remote marine operations lifting and rigging processes for petroleum sector projects.
- The preferred candidate will possess comprehensive expertise conceptualizing rigging strategies, directing remote marine operations lifting processes, and interpreting thorough installation standardized processes.

Primary duties
- Head and oversee all rigging and lifting processes onboard remote marine operations vessels, channels, or barges, making sure adherence with project standardized processes and safety guidelines.
- Formulate and evaluate rigging and lifting strategies, which includes the selection of tools, setup of rigging gear, lifting angles, center of gravity calculations, and load path evaluation.
- Analyze and implement remote marine operations installation standardized processes in partnership with the project engineering and building teams.
- Organize with crane operators, deck foremen, welding technicians, and riggers to safely carry out lifting processes for subsea systems, topside modules, risers, and other tools.
- Supervise crane and winch processes, making sure accurate line pulls, lift synchronization, and information exchange procedures are followed.
- Oversee or engage in the fabrication and installation of rigging helps, which includes pad-eyes, lifting lugs, or short-term aids, making sure accurate welding standardized processes and inspections are followed.
- Examine and validate rigging tools and lifting accessories (e.g., slings, shackles, hooks, spreader bars) for remote marine operations service.
- Ensure proper recordkeeping of rigging strategies, lift documentation, tools qualifications, and toolbox talks.
- Carry out pre-lift sessions and engage in Position Safety Evaluation (JSA), toolbox talks, and License to operate (PTW) standardized processes.
- Train rigging crew members and guarantee alignment to remote marine operations safety procedures and organisation rules.
- Preserve clear records of routine initiatives and advancement, and offer input to remote marine operations documentation and close-out recordkeeping.
Credentials and Expertise
- Trade accreditation, certification, or technical certification in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine discipline is desirable.
- At least 5–10 years’ expertise in remote marine operations petroleum sector rigging and lifting processes, which includes a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
- Deep understanding of remote marine operations rigging guidelines (e.g., LOLER, IMCA, API RP 2D) and lifting safety rules.
- Expertise in remote marine operations installation projects including subsea systems, topsides, FPSO modules, or jacket/topsides mating is firmly preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, lifting strategies, and remote marine operations standardized processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in the use and management of cranes, winches, and hydraulic lifting operational structures in remote marine operations environments.
- Expertise in welding processes and the installation of rigging helps (e.g., pad-eyes, doubler plates) under remote marine operations terms.
- Skilled in Office productivity software (Word, Excel, Outlook) for recordkeeping and status updates.
