Engineer - Guard Processes, Information Tech at MTN Nigeria in Lagos

Purpose

Execute, preserve, and track guard measures for information operational structures and networks. This position goals to protect the company’s data, operational structures, and assets from guard threats and vulnerabilities, making sure a strong defense against both within and outside the organization cybersecurity incidents.

Explanation

• Enhance guard expenses by executing cost-efficient guard measures and initiatives.
• Preserve guard issue resolution process and escalation standardized processes.
• Track and evaluate guard warnings from various operational structures and take action promptly to possibility threats.
• Preserve and enhance Soc (SOC) resources, which includes SIEM operational structures, intrusion discovery operational structures, and endpoint protection.
• Head guard projects and collaborate with cross-operational teams to improve guard across MTN Nigeria.
• Train MSO guard team members, offering direction on industry standards and career advancement.
• Lead issue resolution process and solution, managing endeavors cross-functional units when managing high-severity incidents.
• Preserve efficient operating connections with the Management, the heads of the business and service units and employees.
• Ensure high performance thresholds for within and outside the organization participants by preserving data guard and honesty and reliability.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to settle vulnerabilities and offer initiative-driven initiatives to guard risks.
• Convey productively with participants regarding guard matters and show MTN’s dedication to information security.

Teaching Certification

First Academic qualification in Computer Science, Cyber security, or a relevant field. Applicable guard qualifications are highly preferred, which includes but not limited to CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Guard+.

Expertise:

• 3-7 years’ expertise which comprises:
• At least 3 years’ expertise in guard processes should comprise of practical issue resolution process, threat evaluation, and guard supervising.
• Telecommunications or tech industry profile.
• Competence in using key SOC resources, which includes Guard Information and Event Management (SIEM) operational structures, intrusion discovery/prevention operational structures (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection initiatives. Understanding with guard automatic control resources is also advantageous.
