ICT Manager at Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) - Switzerland in Bauchi

Primary goal

Carrying out the servicing & maintenance, client engagement and supervising of all IT and Telecom tools, resources and ser-vices, in addition to making sure in-field IT assistance and development of users under his/her duty in accordance with MSF guidelines, rules, procedures and standardized processes, in order to assurance the productive use of all IT and Telecom solutions and structure.

Role summary

• First Go-point person on IT associated concerns for the project (s).
• Offer IT assistance to MSF online platforms in the projects (OneDrive, Bauchi Kompas; SharePoint).
• Diagnose issues and oversee IT associated duty in the project which includes hardware ( laptops, Telecoms, steward, routers) and software which includes MS Workspace and associated software for MSF.
• Offer update/development to Bauchi employees members on how to use online platforms which includes use of Bauchi Kompas/ SharePoint on-site.
• Track and offer consistent answer to LTL/ LogCo on the Telecom structure for Bauchi which includes internet network access speed, entry points and other associated ICT resources.
• Permission management for Bauchi users through adding, updating and archiving of users as per the MSF IT standard, rules, procedures and standardized processes.
• In charge of coordinating an optimizing the data guard for Bauchi users’ data (firewall, permission management, backups)
• Report to higher support tier system problems for assist to the Information Operational structures (IS) Expert and/or HQ Technical Referent.
• Recording, tracking, and updating of all IT tools and assets in the TMS in the GH/Workspace and project sites
• Execute consistent client engagement and preventive servicing & maintenance of all IT tools
• Set up and preserve laptops for users, making sure proper setup, capability, and prompt diagnosing issues to assist day-to-day activities.
• Offer the proper functioning of all project printers by executing consistent servicing & maintenance and prompt fix, which includes the replacement of spare parts as required
• Preserve stable and productive Wi-Fi network access by routinely checking, servicing, and fixing problems connected with all Entry Points at the workspace, guesthouse, and project sites..

Expertise:

• Competence in latest version of Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office365)
• Good expertise in computing equipment and servicing & maintenance methods, network theory and their respective procedures, main email operational structures, Information security industry standards and IT service admin systems (ITSM)
• Comprehension in Steward Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, User access directory) and virtualization (Hyper-V)
• Comprehension of radio telecommunication notions (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite)
• Training and assisting competencies
