Job Description
Goal
The Grants Manager will collaborate with the finance and programme processes units to supervise the full scope of lifecycle of grant programs, from recognizing financing avenues to making sure adherence and status updates, playing a key role in securing and coordinating capital for MSI Nigeria.
Duties
- In charge of conceptualizing a well strong project financial plan in partnership with programs for new business development (NBD) for each of the channels' cost centres using the authorized MSI internal financial plan template.
- In charge to properly phased all authorized donor financial plan by Channel/DRL in partnership with programs using our internal phasing template and move same to the MSI project upload template for SUN upload inside the set timeline.
- In charge of supervising all project-associated expenditures by verifying/offering donor/account codes on all provided requests (PRF/Public relations) to prevent the recording and using the PRF tracker to track all authorized requests that are in the pipeline with the procurement that are yet to be provided to finance for posting to SUN. This process is to guarantee there is no overspending in any of our financial plans.
- In charge to evaluate and authorized all recoding transaction entries which must be saved in the recoding month folder before it can be posted to SUN.
- In charge to preserve an current BVA/PFR for each of project by making sure all the necessary tabs/sections are properly finished with a thorough and quantifiable commentary on the variances and organize a combined overview that shows all our project status by project and channel.
- In charge of getting ready an error-free donor documentation and sending it to the Finance Manager for authorization two days before MSI due date.
- In charge of offering a project status documentation for all our ongoing projects in a combined document structure authorized by the Finance Manager
- In charge of coding and Posting all Intercompany associated financial record and making sure it is fully balanced with a thorough clarification of the outstanding items.
- In charge of executing a periodic balance check on Delayed Earnings by the project which includes UNFPA donated inventory with a thorough timetable that matches with each project balance and ensures no balances is sitting on closed project.
- In charge of offering an current financing pipeline/cost matrix every month, which includes the execution of the assist workspace cost distribution regulatory framework by fairly ascribed SO cost across our ongoing assignment.
- In charge of operating with P1 BH/Channel Directs to organize an precise rolling projection/every quarter projection and BP inside the set internal timeline.
- Project setup of every month visual communication documentation where all ongoing assignment status reports are offered, in terms of all project YTD/FY status, causes for over/under spent, hurdles and their implication with clear action strategy to handle them.
Certification and Expertise
- A Academic qualification in Accounting requiring at least 2nd class Upper division or its equivalent with a Masters academic qualification, and a identified specialist certification which includes ACA, or ACCA.
- Good managerial and planning abilities.
- 8-15 years’ demonstrated expertise in coordinating donor financial plans in an international NGO.
- Capability to use SUN Accounting bundle, and other accounting bundles
- Improve Excel competencies preferred.
- Task juggling skill, oversee a task volume and generate premium quality documentation, and deliver on time
- Good team player and adaptable while operating with other teammates
