Manager, IP Backbone at 9mobile Nigeria in Abuja

Position Overview 

Supervise the processes of Datacom, MBPN and Enterprise Processes team, oversee all IPBB, MPLS, IP Core and Enterprise associated network initiatives and coordinate with respective within and outside the organization participants to combine new NE’s, initiatives and settle network hurdles. 

Position duties

• Formulate and preserve the execution plan of Datacom, MBPN, IP Core and Enterprise networks.
• Supervises 9mobile IP/MPLS Backbone Network, Technical solutions which includes MPLS Core, MP-BGP, VPNs, VPLS, L3VPN, SRV6, Metro, MPLS, Efficient Rerouting, VRRP, BFD etc.
• Team up with participants on IP backbone/transmission assets to assist 9mobile business targets.
• Evaluate all modifications to network settings for technical precision and effect and offer Multi-Procedure network issue initiatives.
• In charge of coordinating IP backbone key effectiveness index and network efficiency boost.
• In charge of end to end IP integrations for new transmission tools’s, network backbone tools, VAS nodes, media gateway and GGSN/SGSN gateway nodes and interralate nodes into IPBB network.
• Organize the consolidation of enterprise clients and acceptance of new network elements.
• Organize corrective IP and enterprise servicing & maintenance as necessary, QoS associated and network hurdles.
• Offer productive, prompt and efficient fixes to IP network concerns and qualifications making sure minimal disruption to business.
• In charge of preserving low MMTR on IPBB and enterprise networks.
• Oversee the process of investigating and recognizing root causes of key incidences and ensure solution.
• In charge of making sure 3gpp and ITU IP rules, rules are executed.
• Oversee the unit’s interface with Enterprise Segment and Wholesale & Carrier for the provisioning and execution of internet, L3VPN and L2VPN for customers, alongside management of its fault solution
• Offer direction and direction to team members and oversee effectiveness towards the accomplishment of entire team targets.
• Organize and evaluate accepted periodic activity and effectiveness documentation – on IP and Enterprise which includes faults, non-operational time and servicing & maintenance carried out – for the Chief, CIVE Processes.
• Execute any other obligations as allocated by the Chief, CIVE Processes

Education and Expertise

• First academic qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering.
• Six (6) to Eight (8) years work expertise with a minimum of three (4) years in a leadership position.
• Accreditation; HCNP/HCIE/CCNP/CCIE will be added advantage.
