Position Overview
The Station Manager is to guarantee on-time effectiveness of all domestic, Regional and international flights, transit passenger, baggage, cargo and aircraft initiatives with the highest standard of service and effectiveness rendered to passengers and clients of the airlines with safety, guard and on-time exit being top priority
Obligations / Duties
- Manages every facet of the station’s processes making sure safe, on time, productive and smooth processes.
- Assumes direct duty for his Station Agents, Client support Agent, Guard Employees, Ticketing and Booking arrangement Officers, Dispatch agent, Ramp Agent, Driver, and Culinary service Officer) Checkin Agent and Baggage Handlers etc)
- Directs all initiatives connected with Station Processes and Arranges all processes to guarantee superior client support, business honesty and reliability, and positive workplace engagement.
- Conceptualizes plans making sure cost adherence and assigning needed assets
- Ensures client support delegates are fully prepared, and in-depth knowledge and offer superior client support.
- Ensures adherence with all UNA Ground Process Documented guides, Load Documented guides, Station Documented guides and other documents applicable to the management of the station.
- Ensures adherence with International, Federal, State and Local Aviation Rules
- Recognizes and supervises station challenges, investigates and delivers strategic guidance for process effectiveness for Management
- Makes annually strategies and financial plans for the station. Discusses terms and supervises airport-specific agreements, and quotations and follows up service adherence in accordance with the current agreements.
- Begins service recovery endeavors in the event of processes discrepancies in teamwork with Business Dispatch.
- Confirms and authorizes all station-associated bills and documentation any mistakes as appropriate.
- Includes in station employees hiring process, programs disciplinary hearings, development, development and inspirational exercises for station employees
- Delivers executive guidance and direction to the ground managing agents and UNA employees
- Speaks for UNA at all Airport associated processes, and sessions and coordinate with the airport authority and governmental workspaces.
- Ensures organisation corporate identity and values adherence
- Ensures on a weekly basis sessions with the station team
- Ensures team in the station
- Finalize every quarter and yearly evaluation and employees evaluation and make strategic guidance and send to the Human resources Dept.
- Preserve outstanding connections with Aviation Governing bodies-NCAA, FAAN, NAMA and NIMET and others-bankers, hotels, car recruits etc
Expertise & Credentials
- Higher national diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- At least three to four (3-4) years’ expertise in this position or associated capacity.
- A higher academic qualification is a plus.
- Must be capable to operate late hours and juggle duties.
- Must be cozy operating under extreme pressure
- Must be smart enough to take critical decisions within very short time limit.
Necessary Competencies:
- Robust client support competencies
- Expertise in Nig.CARs
- Expertise in Ground Managing Processes will be of advantage especially hazardous goods, IATA etc.
