Assistant manager, Packing Plant at Dangote Industries Limited in Ibese Plant, Ogun

Position Overview

Strategy and organize all packing plant servicing & maintenance initiatives to prevent disruptions to packing plant processes.

Primary duties

• Engage during the formation and articulation of the plant’s servicing & maintenance strategy.
• Supervise the efficient and productive implementation of the plant’s servicing & maintenance strategy at the packing plant unit.
• Strategy for and order packing plant machine spares, based on the units requirement, without delay.
• Oversee the initiatives of engineers to guarantee that packing plant tools are accessible for processes with at least non-operational time in order to meet pre-set targets.
• Supervise communication link with the applicable Health, safety, and environment staff for the offering of personal protection tools and safety development.
• Make sure that standard procedure and corrective servicing & maintenance is carried out on packing plant machines in a prompt and productive manner.
• Organize the management of a DB for all servicing & maintenance initiatives.
• Execute any other obligations allocated by the Chief, Packing Plant.

Qualifications

• Bsc in mechanical engineering or its equivalent.
• A member of a professional body is a plus.
• At least 15 years applicable professional background.
• Capability to diagnose issues, diagnose and fix tools’s with precision and speed.
• Good executive guidance and supervisory competencies
• Good issue resolution and evaluation competencies.
• Capability to pay attention to description.
