Store officer Team supervisor at Eko Maintenance Limited in Lagos

Role summary

We are procurement for a Store officer Team supervisor to directing storekeeping employees, making sure productive stock management, managing routine warehouse processes like receiving and dispatching, executing and enforcing safety procedures, and preserving structured inventory inside the Store. The preferred candidate will serve as a key point of reach out for their team, offering direction, fixing problems, and supporting to the entire effectiveness and success of Store processes.

Primary duties / Obligations

• Team lead and Oversight: Head, train, and mentor storekeeping staff, allocate routine duty, and offer work direction.
• Stock Management: Supervise the receiving, stocking, and dispatching of goods, track stock levels, and ensure precise document-keeping.
• Process effectiveness: Organize routine warehouse initiatives, oversee inventory layout, and execute standardized processes to enhance effectiveness.
• Safety and Adherence: Guarantee alignment to all safety procedures and rules, which includes OSHA guidelines, to preserve a safe operating environment.
• Material Managing: Supervise the safe and proper managing, storage, issuance, and collection of material and inventory to prevent deterioration or loss
• Effectiveness Supervising: Evaluate business indicators to recognize zones for advancement and work alongside other departments to match with stock chain targets.
• Issue resolution: Settle stock system concerns and handle questions from various suppliers by offering information or referring to suitable assets.

Qualifications

• Bsc or Higher national diploma in any Engineering associated discipline, A accreditation in warehousing management, Hazardous Materials Managing accreditation, or OSHA safety is a plus
• 5 + years of expertise in storekeeping or a warehouse environment, requiring at least 3 years in a leadership or team supervisor role.
• Expertise in a technical, marine, or industrial environment will be an added advantage.
• Specialist-level expertise in stock management operational structures (e.g., SAP, Oracle), which includes physical counts, cycle counts, status updates, and discrepancy settlement.
• Strong insight of the specific resources, spare parts, and tools being stored and handled.
• Understanding with warehouse management procedures, safety procedures, and storage structured approaches like First-In, First-Out (FIFO).
• Computer Literacy:Competence in Ms office tools, especially Excel for data evaluation and status updates.
