Manager, Development-operations Engineering​ at Tek Experts in Victoria Island, Lagos

Overview

We’re looking for a Manager: Development-operations Engineering – Level 3 to lead the design, execution, and optimization of ability to scale, secure, and dependable operational base initiatives across hybrid environments, which includes Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and on-prem Kubernetes channels which includes vStack and TKGI. You will enable smooth build and deploying methods, automate structure provisioning, and ensure the adaptability of both generation and non-generation operational structures. This position aids various Financial technology OPCOs with a robust concentration on operational base engineering, CI/CD, observability, task volume identity consolidation, and compliance. You will work across cross-operational teams to ensure adherence to industry standards in setup management, release automatic control, and secure network access, balancing quickness with adherence.

Business Dispatch:

• Strategize and implement CI/CD plans, making sure regular and dependable software releases.
• Design and preserve automated deploying pipelines and structure-as-code (Automated infrastructure provisioning) orchestrated via kubernetes, Docker, Bicep, and Terraform.
• Work alongside cross-departmentally to oversee structure needs in both cloud and on-prem environments.
• Ensure strong supervising, warning, and issue resolution process to support operations effectiveness and accessibility.
• Ensure adherence to Secure devops procedures which includes risk exposure management, authorization, and adherence.
• Supervise environment provisioning and release preparedness for generation and non-generation.
• Head diagnosing issues, root cause evaluation, and uninterrupted effectiveness tuning.
• Assistance network upgrades, patching, and technical running test (e.g., stress/load tests).
• Lead process enhancements, cost optimizations, and Development-operations maturity.
• Advance an environment that fosters uninterrupted learning, creative invention, and cross-operational partnership.

Expertise:

• Demonstrated expertise as a Infrastructure engineer or similar position, with deep knowledge of software development and processes principles; 4 –5 years in technical architecture, application development, or processes.
• Expertise with public and private cloud channels (Azure, Alibaba, vStack, Apsara, OpenShift) will be an added advantage.
• Competence in code-defined infrastructure resources which includes Bicep and Terraform.
• Expertise with containerization technical solutions which includes Docker and orchestration resources like Kubernetes.
• Expertise with modular, independently deployable services architecture and serverless processing.
• Expertise with Azure Development-operations CI/CD or similar resources, code-defined infrastructure, supervising operational structures, and system issue management.
• Previous expertise in Nimble/Scrum environments.
• Expertise in a Financial technology or financial solutions environment preferred.
• Performed across multifaceted cultures and geographies; Pan Africa cross-cultural expertise is advantageous.

Operational Expertise:

• Robust scripting and automatic control competencies using Bash, Python, and PowerShell to assist structure provisioning, setup, and diagnosing issues.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools utility which includes Azure Development-operations, GitLab CI/CD, Alibaba Cloud Development-operations, and pipeline automatic control in Kubernetes-native and hybrid environments.
• Strong insight of cloud-native structure and structure-as-code (Automated infrastructure provisioning) using Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible across Azure, Alibaba Private and Public Cloud, vStack, and OpenShift.
• Reliable expertise in relationship building, firewalls, DNS, and guard industry standards across hybrid environments.
• Competence in containerization and orchestration orchestrated via kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm, concentrating on multi-OpCo operational base dispatch.
• Expertise in observability and supervising using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Azure Track, and Alibaba Cloud SLS.
• Skilled in operational base environment design, automatic control of provisioning processes, and lifecycle management of dev/test/prod environments.
• Consolidation of cloud-native solutions (APIM, Key Vault, Event Grid, Service Bus) into ability to scale application dispatch.
• Understanding with modern identity and entry management, which includes Azure AD, RBAC, and Zero Trust principles.
• Deep knowledge of system issue, adjustment, and issue management within CI/CD and Secure devops procedures.
• Expertise assisting operational base adoption by application teams through reusable design frameworks, guardrails, and automatic control.
