Position Overview

We are looking for a initiative-driven and meticulous Internal Regulate Officer to guarantee compliance to organizational guidelines, standardized processes, and compliance guidelines across the company. The preferred candidate should possess background in the microfinance banking sector, with a deep knowledge of lending and process risk regulates.

Primary duties

• Track and evaluate internal regulate operational structures across all business zones.
• Recognize differences or weaknesses in methods and endorse corrective actions.
• Carry out periodic assessments of branches, departments, and key business units.
• Make sure that all methods, especially around loan disbursement and public sector lending, follow compliance-related and internal standard procedures.
• Help in fraud prevention, discovery, and investigative endeavors.
• Work alongside audit, adherence, and risk mitigation strategy teams.
• Organize documentation on internal regulate findings and show them for executive review.

Applicant background

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field.
• Applicable qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CISA) are a desirable asset.
• At least 3–5 years of expertise in internal regulate, risk, or audit positions in a Microfinance Bank or financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of microfinance processes, public sector lending methods, and legal adherence.
• Outstanding expertise in internal regulate frameworks and risk risk reduction procedures.
• Robust logical, investigation, and status updates competencies.

Preferred Profile:

Applicants with expertise from Key Microfinance bank or other reputable microfinance banks are highly preferred. Understanding with internal regulate automatic control resources or risk software will be an added advantage.
