Role summary

We are looking for an skilled and outcomes-driven Fibre Optic Cable Installation Manager to supervise the organizing, installation, and servicing & maintenance of fibre optic networks. The preferred candidate will ensure projects are carried out safely, on time, within financial plan, and to quality benchmarks while top and inspiring installation teams.

Primary duties

• Oversee and organize fibre optic cable installation teams in-field.
• Strategy routine work plans, assign assets, and guarantee alignment to delivery schedules.
• Examine installation work to guarantee adherence with industry guidelines, project requirements, and safety rules.
• Offer technical direction to installation crews on splicing, termination, running test, and diagnosing issues fibre optic operational structures.
• Coordinate with PMs, customers, and subcontractors to settle in-field concerns promptly.
• Preserve precise project records, which includes routine documentation, material usage, and advancement status reports.
• Ensure proper managing and use of resources, tools, and materials.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and ecological (HSE) guidelines at all times.
• Help in development and training entry-level technicians or new recruits.

Credentials & Qualifications

• Certification or Bsc in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field (or equivalent technical accreditation).
• Demonstrated expertise (3–5 years) directing fibre optic cable installation projects.
• Solid understanding of fibre optic splicing, running test (OTDR, power meter), and fault-finding methods.
• Understanding with reading and interpreting technical drawings and network schematics.
• Outstanding executive guidance, information exchange, and planning abilities.
• Comprehension of Health, safety, and environment rules and safe work procedures.
