Job Description
Circumstance
Operating under the entire oversight of the Protection/MHPSS Program Manager and closely operating with the Project supervisor, TRD and other applicable teammates, the successful applicant will be in charge of helping with the reintegration Protection and MHPSS solutions into long-lasting initiatives initiatives executed in Yola, Adamawa State
Duties
- Assist the entire execution of the SIDPIN Project in Adamawa State.
- Help the Program Manager in the execution of the project initiatives, which includes synchronization, status updates, logistics assist, and execution of the project initiatives.
- Help the Program manager in preserving a data collection, evaluation mechanisms, and distribute applicable information mainly from records and documentation and arranges periodic and as-needed documentation on programme and project initiatives
- Assist technical supervising of all the teams in the reachable zones, which includes documentation drafting, oversight, development, and synchronization sessions with each team.
- Coordinate on a weekly basis visits, collecting and organizing documentation from the psychosocial assist teams in Yobe and sometimes Maiduguri. Track their initiatives and deliver promptly assist.
- Coordinate possessing applicable governmental, non-governmental (Nonprofit organizations), international entities in addition to other applicable participants on concerns connected with MHPSS.
- Track project initiatives which includes those executed by the psychosocial mobile teams by analyzing a range of records, which includes regulate of strategies, advancement documentation, and project inputs, recognize concerns and propose modifications as necessary.
- Arrange missions, forums, sessions, workshops, development sessions and other events inside the structure of the project in synchronization with the manager, project, project supervisor, International Specialist network, and other key associates.
- Organize informal translation of technical documents from English into Hausa, Kanuri, Fulfulbe, and vice-versa, if needed.
- Arrange data and information, organize and keep documentation, record and regulate strategies for the M&E of the project execution
- Organize Visibility and Information exchange initiatives connected with the project.
- Perform responsibility commute to very difficult zones as required.
- Execute such other obligations as may be allocated
Credentials Education:
Academic qualification in Psychology, Community-related Sciences, Community-related Work and Group Solutions, Migration Studies, Development studies, or a relevant field from an accredited academic institution with three (3) year of related experience. Secondary school certificate with five years of associated expertise or,
Expertise:
At least 5 years of expertise in a similar role, ideally inside the United Nations and the International Humanitarian Site
Competencies:
- Robust people skills and exhibited capability to establish efficient operating relations with local employees and other participants.
- Outstanding logical and verbal abilities
- Capability to independently carry out duty, proactivity, capability to juggle duties, and to prioritize.
- Expertise in community-related and development concerns in Nigeria, especially within zone of duty.
- S/he must be vast in one local language.
- Outstanding documentation skilled in writing
Languages:
- For all candidates, fluency in English is essential (spoken communication and documented), and one of UN language is a plus.
- IOM’s formal languages are English, French and Spanish.
- Competence of language(s) necessary will be particularly assessed during the selection process, which may comprise of documented and/or spoken communication evaluations.
