Resident Commercial manager at a Steel / Building Materials Company - Ascentech Services Limited in Sokoto

About the Position

We are looking for an skilled and devoted Resident Sales Engineer to oversee and grow sales inside the steel industry product lines which includes Nails, Quarterly Rod, Binding Wire, Drawn Wire, BRC, Pipes, and TMT Iron Rods. The preferred candidate will be in charge of pushing sales, preserving client connections, and making sure business expansion across the Northern region.

Primary duties

• Routinely visit and preserve reach out with current and possibility clients.
• Manage sales of Nails, Quarterly Rod, Binding Wire, BRC, Pipes, and TMT Iron Rods.
• Produce new commercial opportunities while expanding current accounts.
• Commute across regions (Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina, Bauchi, etc.) as necessary.
• Participate to client service issues and deliver promptly status updates to top level management.
• Build and preserve solid connections with vendors, distributors, and wholesalers.
• Organize and send quotations to clients promptly.
• Check in on orders, dispatch plans, and outstanding payments.
• Track and documentation rival initiatives and market intelligence for executive review.

Credentials & Qualifications

• Graduate academic qualification or higher in Engineering, Business, or relevant field.
• 3–5 years of proven sales expertise in the steel industry
• Robust service understanding of Nails, Quarterly Rod, Binding Wire, BRC, Pipes, and TMT Iron Rods.
• Clear articulation, bargain, and building relationship competencies.
• Capability to commute extensively within allocated territories.
• Robust status updates, corporate, and client engagement competencies.
