Job Description

Strategize arrange, and direct all routine initiatives of the cassava processing unit, making sure productive process and compliance to generation plans.
Supervise the processing of cassava into various goods (e.g., garri, cassava flour, starch), making sure methods are optimized for maximum return and quality.
Execute and track rigid quality assurance and food safety procedures to guarantee all goods meet organisation, national (NAFDAC), and international guidelines.
Oversee, educate, and train processing employees, nurturing an environment that fosters collaboration, safety, and ongoing development.
Collaborate with the servicing & maintenance team to guarantee all processing tools (peelers, graters, fryers, dryers) is in outstanding operating requirement, minimizing non-operational time and optimizing entire effectiveness.
Oversee the stock of unedited cassava and finished goods, and organize logistics to guarantee prompt allocation.
Oversee the unit's financial plan, track key effectiveness indicators (KPIs), and offer consistent documentation to the Chief operator.

Bsc in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.
At least 8 years of demonstrated expertise in coordinating a food processing or production operations unit, with a robust preference for expertise with cassava or similar crops.
Deep understanding of food safety rules, HACCP, and GMP.
Robust specialized abilities with an comprehension of processing machinery and tools servicing & maintenance.
Outstanding executive guidance, information exchange, and analytical abilities.
Capability to operate in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
