Job Description

Responsibility

This position includes actively assisting and monitoring the routine use of trucks. It comprises productively coordinating the trucks by managing the fleet supervisor’s initiatives, making sure smooth processes, and offering precious response to the Transport Business operations manager.

Key Effectiveness Zones

  • Processes and serves as an interface between the MDS and the customers.
  • In Communication link with the TOM ensures proper synchronization of fleet deploying for customer solutions.
  • Ensures dispatch of clients goods at the right requirement within specified period.
  • Organize the initiatives of the fleet managers as their direct status updates line.
  • Coordinate with the Workshop Solutions Manager WSM/TOM to guarantee faults reported on trucks are promptly participated to, to attain trip cycle days and truck transit time conforming.
  • Serves as i-manager (enterprise resource planning) super user, organizer and make sure that loaded trucks/trip are current with supporting KPIs.
  • Productively arranges the recordkeeping of processes entries or financial record on the Enterprise platform planning. i.e. i-manager, SAP.
  • Manages the carry out of driver’s toolbox sessions by fleet managers and supports the discussion of topical concerns at such collaborations.
  • Observes and escalates all safety violations on Nova track.
  • Arranges with the FC to guarantee the executes of corrective and preventive servicing & maintenance on handled assets are carried out.
  • Arranges the collection of PODs from the customers/clients with the FCs.
  • Advocate the safety, health and environment culture of base of processes.
  • Organize the Assessment of trucks (pre & post trip assessment) by the FCs, which includes accessories, tyres, and visible loss before deploying.
  • Ensure prompt recordkeeping of all incidents, accidents, and coverage requests inside the allocated fleet to attain minimal non-operational time.
  • Report to higher support tier key concerns to TOM (Transport Business operations manager)
  • Any other obligations as may be allocated by TOM.
  • Settlement and vetting of revenues, mileages, trip timelines and PODs for invoicing objective.
  • Deep understanding of coordinating F&V processes.
  • Matches trips with customers records to receive vehicle accessibility.
  • Assessment of trucks and documents before deploying, in addition to check in on fix, and system failure recoveries.
  • Productively organize in-transit rescue of vehicles with guard team.
  • Production of various periodic documentation which includes routine trip profit margin, Anticipated dispatch date documentation (EDD), Flash documentation etc. for corporate findings.

Credentials Necessary

  • Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
  • Associate member of Associatio of Stock and Allocation Experts AIDP
  • Supervisory Safety Course Level 3, Nigerian Institute of Safety Experts
  • General Safety Course, Nigerian Institute of Safety Experts
  • Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transportation – CILT
