Explanation
The Finance Manager will offer strategic executive guidance and monitoring for the organization's financial processes, status updates, adherence and organizing processes. He is in charge of making sure financial long-term viability, legal conformity, efficient money movement management, and offering the MD/Board of Directors with precise and prompt financial findings to assist strategic strategic judgment
Statutory & Legal adherence:
- Ensure full adherence with tax rules (PAYE, CIT, VAT, WHT), pension legal provisions, NSITF, coverage and other statutory qualifications.
- Interface with auditors, compliance-related bodies (eg FIRS, FRCN, NERC), and financial institutions as necessary.
- Uphold organisation accounting rules in line with IFRS and industry guidelines.
- Organize documentation to NERC using the prescribed USOA standard as current.
Business oversight:
Guarantee alignment to business oversight guidelines and the organization's Code of Ethics. Promote an environment that fosters honesty and reliability, competence and ethical carry out in all financial processes.
Key Outputs
- Prompt every month and end of year financial statements (P&L., Financial statement, Money movement).
- Routine ledger summary.
- Every month financial difference assessment and management accounts.
- Adherence documentation and receipts for all statutory remittances.
- Recorded outstanding invoices and prompt adjustments with NBET and others.
- Clean within and outside the organization audit documentation.
Credentials and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a associated discipline (Bachelor's degree / Higher national diploma).
- Master of business administration is a plus.
- Specialist ICAN accreditation is compulsory.
- At least 10 years post-certification expertise with a minimum of 3 years in a Top level Finance position, ideally in the power, utilities or structure sector.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian tax legal provisions, IFRS, FRCN and compliance-related frameworks.
- Expertise in application of Enterprise platform planning channels (SAGE, SAP or Oracle) and financial forecasting in Excel.
- Age Requirement: Not more than 45 years by 31/12/2025.
