Primary goal
Making sure general functioning of the pharmacy and directing pharmacy stock chain methods in accordance with MSF guidelines, procedures and standardized processes, in order to guarantee its effectiveness and operating accessibility.
Role summary
- Making sure storage, inventory management and stock methods, in addition to hygiene and guard standardized processes, resources, and procedures (directing pests and rodents), executing suitable quality regulates and records, in order to guarantee good storage terms (temperatures, humidity and light exposure) and accessibility of drugs and medical material, according to MSF procedures, national rules and in teamwork with the logistics department.
- Managing the dispatch, reception and recording of orders from the capital, in close synchronization with the logistics department, updating inventory files and informing line managers on their status (shortfalls, over-stocking, expiry dates), in order to permanently ensure guard inventory levels and ensure productive management of inventory.
- Directing orders of medical and drug material in order to guarantee an productive and suitable usage pattern under financial plan restrictions.
- Check in usage in all units, ensure guidelines resources are accessible and used as appropriate.
- Making sure productive stock to other pharmacies handled/helped by MSF according to orders and stocks and using cold chains when needed. Supervising and evaluating orders relying on pharmacies in order to avoid ruptures of inventory or possessing expired drugs.
- Recording all items received and issued in computer (Isystock) and status updates on drug consumptions and medical tools dispensed according to procedures, informing on unusual patterns in addition to predicting future needs, in order to rationalize the financial plan and to guarantee accessibility.

Qualifications
- Education: Academic qualification of Pharmacy Management, Registered and with Valid practice permit.
- Expertise: A minimum of 2 years accredited work expertise as a pharmacy manager. Expertise with MSF or INGO will be an added advantage.
- Language English and Hausa (Documented and spoken). Capability to convey in local languages spoken Borno state would be an asset.
