Job Description

Duties

  • Oversee entire imports and exports for the organization.
  • Organize and oversee all shipment-associated documents. Process import recordkeeping and processing of license which includes SON, customs license, SON product certification, SONCAP, NESREA license, NAFDAC customs license, etc.
  • Supervise port and customs clearing methods productively and productively.
  • Launch Form M, NXP and oversee coverage Premium process, shipping line settlement, on time dispatch of shipment from port, coordinating with with clearing agents, shipping lines, customs and other applicable Regulatory bodies
  • Advise necessary modifications to streamline export and import.
  • Coordinate with suppliers / vendor to guarantee entry of accurate pro-forma bill appropriate for establishing form M and LC in line with Nigeria Customs Service import qualifications / standard procedures / rules.
  • Check in with vendors and forwarding operations for all shipments and a instantaneous modify must be offered routine.
  • Instantaneous modify of internal operational structures and DB with all roles (projects) advancement.
  • Bargain with carriers and freight forwarders to secure cost-efficient transportation
  • Organize application for import responsibility nysc waiver document (IDEC) and certification of capital importation (CCI); especially importation of goods from China.
  • Classify goods to HS Codes / tariff coding system and calculate import responsibility and tax payable in improve.
  • Coordinate with accredited agents for clearing of goods at destination ports, customs etc.
  • Prompt order implementation and recordkeeping of pre and post shipping documents
  • Coordinate with Port governing bodies & customs authorities, check adherence to compliance obligations, and preserve requisite papers & documents.
  • Make sure that form M numbers are sent to the supplier (foreign) to make sure they are quoted on supporting and shipping & import assisting documents.
  • Ensure the pre-clearing process is finished before dispatching to processes.
  • Prepare LC (Letter of Credit), and check in with the banks for LC issuance
  • Organize with Country Finance Manager for bargain of banking terms and terms on LC.
  • Process and examine necessary shipping documents as per compliance standards in line with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) standard procedures.
  • Acquire Forex from CBN/I&E Window.
  • Ensure prepare copies of documents are in line with established authorized Buying Order (PO).
  • Daily synchronization with finance unit and banks to guarantee no setbacks in processing Pre-Arrival Evaluation Documentation (PAAR), Form M and LC.
  • Collection and entry of foreign exchange regulate documents (FECD).
  • Formulate and execute import and export rules and standardized processes
  • Preserve and modify the international trade adherence DB
  • Track and documentation on international trade practices and progress updates.

Qualifications & Credentials

  • At least a second-class upper in any course ideally Stock Chain or Finance from a reputable tertiary institution (exceptional Higher national diploma applicants will be assessed)
  • Cognate 5 -10 years’ expertise in expertise in international trade processes.
  • Comprehensive Expertise in Nigeria / Customs Importation Standardized processes and associated recordkeeping (Form M, Paar, Responsibility Evaluation, Responsibility Waiver)
  • Comprehensive Expertise in International Payment Methods (LC, Invoice of Lading)
  • Familiarity with Incoterms
  • Outstanding Bargaining ability with foreign suppliers
  • Logistics management and company
  • Understanding with CBN regulations, rules, and other relevant agencies' offering; SONCAP, NAFDAC, NDLEA, CUSTOM, etc.
  • Competence in Office productivity software resources
  • Track document of over-delivering quota
  • Capability to operate independently without oversight
  • Outstanding spoken communication and professional writing competencies.
  • Outstanding people skills.
