Job Description
Position Overview
The Procurement Manager will head the organizing, procurement, bargain, and management of all procurement initiatives at KICTC, making sure on-time completion of premium quality goods and solutions, pushing cost efficiencies, and preserving supplier connections in line with healthcare rules and worldwide industry standards. The Procurement Manager make sure that all buys assist KICTC’s purpose of supplying world-class cancer treatment while conforming to honesty and reliability, responsibility, and value-for-money principles.
Primary duties
- Formulate and execute procurement plans, rules, and standard operating standardized processes that match with healthcare industry standards.
- Head the comprehensive procurement process which includes vendor recognition, assessment, tendering, bargain, and agreement administration.
- Ensure procurement initiatives adhere with Nigerian rules and international healthcare procurement guidelines.
- Track supplier effectiveness and preserve efficient vendor connections to guarantee regular quality and on-time completion.
- Organize with medical, clinical, and managerial departments to comprehend procurement needs and expect stock qualifications.
- Oversee stock levels in partnership with stores and stock chain employees to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Establish transparent procurement records and status updates operational structures for audits and responsibility.
- Carry out consistent market evaluation to benchmark prices and recognize dependable suppliers.
- Execute cost-saving programs without compromising quality or patient safety.
- Head procurement audits and risk evaluations, making sure adherence and process enhancements.
- Educate and train procurement employees to strengthen unit-specific capacity.
Credentials
- Bsc in Procurement, Stock Chain Management, Business Management, or relevant field.
- A member of a professional body in procurement or stock chain (CIPS, CPSM, ISM, or equivalent) preferred.
- Solid understanding of healthcare procurement procedures, vendor management, and international stock chain guidelines
- At least 5–7 years progressive procurement expertise, which includes a minimum of 3 years in a executive or managerial position.
- Expertise in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or large-scale service entities highly preferred.
- Established history in vendor talks, agreement administration, and stock chain effectiveness.
