Overview

We are looking for an skilled and outcomes-driven Modern Trade Manager to join our agile FMCG team. The successful applicant will be in charge of coordinating and growing our modern trade business, making sure solid connections with key accounts, and pushing sales effectiveness across modern market outlets which includes Shoprite, Justrite, SPA, Jendol, and other top modern trade chains.

Primary duties

• Formulate and implement modern trade plans to attain revenue goals and market distribute growth.
• Oversee and preserve profitable company connections with key accounts inside the modern trade sector.
• Head, mentor, and motivate a business development team to supply outstanding implementation and effectiveness in modern trade channels.
• Bargain and oversee agreements, listings, pricing, and advertising initiatives with modern trade clients.
• Ensure outstanding retail visibility, merchandising, and accessibility of goods.
• Track rival initiatives and industry trends to recognize development potentials.
• Organize and show sales effectiveness documentation, findings, and projections for executive review.
• Work cross-operationally with stock chain, promotion, and finance teams to guarantee smooth processes and client fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Business Management, Promotion, or relevant field (an Master of business administration is a plus).
• At least 8 years’ demonstrated expertise in coordinating modern trade accounts in an FMCG organisation or companies.
• Robust track document in building and sustaining connections with key modern market outlets (Shoprite, Justrite, SPA, Jendol, etc.).
• Exhibited capability to head a business development team and supply against driven targets.
• Outstanding bargain, information exchange, and people skills.
• Robust logical and issue resolution abilities.
