Position Overview

The State Manager (Doroki-upgraded) is responsible for supplying state-level business-related targets by building, mentoring and coordinating a top-performing site sales & processes team. The position is site-facing, commercially driven and requires cross-operational partnership to remove technical and business-related blockers that limit merchant growth.

Duties

  • Supply state business-related targets (Gross Profit Less Rebate (GPLR), active merchants, transaction count, value, product blend) and convert regional targets into TSE/territory strategies.
  • Lead hiring process, orientation and activation of Doroki classic merchants; ensure KYC and orientation quality.
  • Head, train and oversee the effectiveness of the site team (typically 5–7 TSEs /business employees): mentoring, beatroute adherence, spot checks, Quality assurance, instant correction and escalation.
  • Own connections with Mega-Star, Super-Star, Star and Retailer merchants; settle escalations and ensure continuity of service.
  • Recognize and pursue strategic local strategic collaborations (DISCOs, PayTVs, Solar suppliers, ISPs, Betting channels) to expand payment lanes and merchant avenues.
  • Work alongside Product, Engineering, Assist, Finance, Risk & Adherence to settle operational base concerns (e.g., was unsuccessful meter numbers), pricing edits, and status updates differences — lead assist cases to solution.
  • Oversee local allocation of POS/devices and agent enablement (merchandising, reward mechanics) to boost productivity.
  • Use data (segmentation, heatmaps, channel data analysis) to prioritise territories and to design targeted merchant interventions.
  • Organize and show prompt state effectiveness documentation and findings to the national Doroki executive guidance.
  • Ensure state-level adherence with organisation rules and compliance obligations; own every quarter EPA for the site team.
