Job Description

Position Profile

  • The Internal Auditor aids the Head Audit officer in offering self-sufficient, goal, and perceptive risk-based guarantee and guidance in order to produce, protect and sustain the value of the OPEC Financial support.
  • These initiatives are carried out in alignment with the OPEC Financial support’s institutional plan and compliance structure , and in accordance with the compulsory elements of the Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) International Specialist Procedures Structure. 
  • The position supports to:
  • The organizing, implementation, status updates and dispatch of guarantee and consultative collaborations,
  • Yearly risk evaluation and work programme development, and
  • Key programs within Internal Audit Unit.

Credentials and Expertise

  • MSC in Business Management, Finance, Directing, Accounting, Law or a (closely) relevant field. A first-level academic qualification integrated with substantial certifying expertise and applicable a member of a professional body may be accepted in lieu of the postgraduate degree.
  • At least seven (7) years of applicable industry experience, which includes a minimum of three (3) years in an international or diverse environment, ideally inside multi-party development banks (MDBs), international financial institutions (IFIs), or similar entities. 
  • Applicable a member of a professional body and/or permit which includes Accredited Public Accounting officer (CPA), Accredited Audit officer (CIA), Accredited Fraud Examiner (CFE), Accredited It auditor (CISA), is essential
  • Other associated specialist qualifications and/or permits, which includes Accredited Cyber security Manager (CISM) or Chartered Finance analyst (CFA), are preferred
  • Specialist audit expertise with one of the Big Four accounting and auditing firms is viewed as a strength
  • Practical understanding of audit management operational structures (e.g., TeamMate) and business intelligence software is viewed as a strength
  • Fluent in English. Good practical understanding of Arabic, French or Spanish is a plus.
