Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business operations manager who can Supervise routine IT processes and head technical teams to guarantee operational structures are running productively, securely, and with minimal non-operational time. Lead process enhancements and oversee technical projects that assist business targets and enhance entire system effectiveness.
Primary duties
- Supervise routine technical processes of vessels, making sure adherence with safety, ecological, and business guidelines.
- Formulate and oversee preventive and corrective servicing & maintenance programs for all marine assets.
- Organize dry-docking, repairs, surveys, and qualifications of vessels.
- Coordinate with classification societies, compliance-related bodies (e.g., NIMASA), and vendors to guarantee adherence and smooth processes.
- Oversee technical financial plans, spare parts stock, and procurement methods.
- Oversee and educate technical crew and shore-based assistants.
- Track and documentation on vessel effectiveness, fuel effectiveness, and tools status.
- Diagnose issues and settle system problems promptly to reduce non-operational time.
- Team up with the supply and operations teams to align technical capacity with business needs.
- Ensure proper recordkeeping and prompt status updates of technical processes,incidents and audits
Qualifications & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree/Higher national diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.
- 7+ years of related experience in marine technical processes, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or executive position.
- Expertise in remote marine operations assist vessels (OSVs), tugboats, or similar marine logistics environments.
- Solid understanding of vessel servicing & maintenance, classification regulations, and marine safety rules.
- Understanding with CMMS (Automated Servicing & maintenance Management Operational structures).
- Competence in financial planning and technical expense management.
- Deep knowledge of maritime legal adherence (NIMASA, ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Outstanding executive guidance and team leadership abilities. Robust issue resolution, strategic judgment, and logical abilities.
- Clear communication and people skills.
