Position Overview

We are looking for an skilled and initiative-driven Service Manager – Truck Servicing & maintenance to supervise and oversee our truck servicing & maintenance processes. The preferred candidate will be in charge of making sure the most effective effectiveness, safety, and reliability of our fleet by managing and directing consistent servicing, preventive servicing & maintenance, and repairs. This position includes coordinating a team of technicians, making sure compliance to safety and adherence guidelines, and pushing process effectiveness.

Primary duties

  • Strategize timetable, and supervise preventive servicing & maintenance and fix of trucks and heavy-responsibility vehicles.
  • Oversee and organize the initiatives of mechanics, technicians, and other servicing & maintenance employees.
  • Keep documentation of service record, servicing & maintenance plans, and parts stock.
  • Track fleet effectiveness and guarantee adherence with safety, ecological, and industry guidelines.
  • Diagnose mechanical concerns and endorse suitable fix initiatives.
  • Coordinate with parts suppliers and vendors to guarantee accessibility excellent quality parts and resources.
  • Execute and ensure adherence to servicing & maintenance procedures and standard operating standardized processes (SOPs).
  • Evaluate servicing & maintenance data and documentation to recognize practices, reduce non-operational time, and increase productivity.
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping for inspections, repairs, and legal adherence.
  • Educate and formulate specialists; carry out consistent effectiveness assessments.
  • Oversee servicing & maintenance financial plans, cost regulates, and vendor connections.
  • Assist in fleet purchase, upgrades, and disposal as needed.

Qualifications & Credentials

  • Bsc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Tech, or a relevant field (Certification/Technical qualifications may be assessed with expertise).
  • At least 5 years’ expertise in heavy-responsibility truck servicing & maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or executive position.
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking operational structures, diagnostics, and vehicle electronics.
  • Understanding with truck brands which includes Mack, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, etc.
  • Practical understanding of servicing & maintenance management operational structures (CMMS) or fleet software is a plus.
  • Outstanding executive guidance, information exchange, and planning abilities.
  • Capability to operate under pressure and oversee various key focuses.
  • Deep knowledge of safety rules and ecological adherence guidelines.
