Job Description

Design, formulate, and preserve backend operational structures for the Nigerian POS business, making sure system stability, scalability, and strong results.
Team up with the frontend development team to establish API interface requirements, making sure smooth synchronization between fullstack.
Engage in defining system architecture and tech choices, offering feasible technical initiatives for organizational needs.
Handle technical hurdles in system development, ensure code quality and guard, and execute code assessments and optimizations.
Organize with the running test team to guarantee product standard, engage in system running test, and diagnosing issues endeavors.
Stay informed on tech practices, propose enhancements and creative suggestions, and preserve consciousness of standardized best practices.
Has thorough expertise in the Nigerian POS business domain, comprehension the engagement flows between institutions and channels, and understanding with business regulations and methods.
Possess competence in standard procedures connected with the POS domain, especially ISO 8583 and other POS communication standard guidelines.
Help in addressing critical concerns, offer IT assistance and development to guarantee the smooth process of the system.

Bsc or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field.
At least 5 years of expertise in backend development, with preference for those skilled in POS business development.
Competence in Java programming language, understanding with Spring Boot structure, and expertise in modular, independently deployable services architecture will be an added advantage.
Expertise in DB design and optimization, understanding with relational databases (which includes MySQL).
Practical expertise with technical solutions like message queues, caching, e.g., Kafka, Redis.
Understanding with a minimum of one RPC calling structure, with FeignClient being preferred, expertise in GRPC, etc.
Robust object-oriented programming competencies, knowledgeable about common design patterns and principles, competent of breaking down and simplifying sophisticated challenges.
Robust analytical abilities, capability to operate in a dynamic environment while preserving high effectiveness.
Clear communication competencies and collaboration, competent of partnering with team members from multifaceted profile.
