Job Description
Overview
This position will be in charge of Legal adherence of all product made under the PepsiCo Corporate identity in Nigeria, in addition to Ethopia. The position also Plays a critical part in the adherence of product exported from South Africa into West and East Africa. The position will collaborate with the External Affairs team to engade West and East African Governing bodies by making sure resumed relation with key external participants and empowering compliance-related unlocks in the key markets to assist future advancements and ensure business continuity.
Adherence:
Guarantee adherence with every facet of F&B legislation which includes those in engagement to ingredients, wrapping, manufacture, structure, labelling and marketing. Accountabilities comprise of:o Collaborate with Research & development / Compliance-related Affairs and Stock Chain to guarantee ongoing adherence with F&B rules.o In charge of executing new food regulationso Primary ally in import and export programs. Local roll out of PEP EMEA and Worldwide compliance-related program• Offer compliance-related assist during incidents which includes communication link with compliance-related governing bodies.
External Affairs:
- Track compliance-related modifications and ensure Research & development and business teammates are conscious.
- Stand for PepsiCo in applicable trade associations and with authorities.
- Collaborate with others in the Compliance-related team to formulate roles and address compliance-related progress updates.
- Collaborate with Compliance-related and Corp Affairs teams to formulate roles and address compliance-related progress updates.
- Build and preserve a network of connections in the food industry, trade associations and compliance-related governing bodies.
- Serve as the key reach out for go to market allocation associates in engagement to compliance-related affairs topics.
- Offer input to MEA Region and Worldwide external affairs initiatives
Credentials
- Science Academic qualification, Food Science or associated discipline will be a plus
- Language: Outstanding command of English (must be capable to read, comprehend, submit application rules and use nuanced language for product requests)
- Thorough expertise in Nigerian and Ethiopian rules and registration methods, in addition to CODEX F&B rules, especially zones concerning ingredients, concluding product, harmful substances, wrapping/food reach out materials, labelling and manufacture. Expertise in other African rules will be a plus.
- Thorough expertise in rules on applicable tools will be a plus.
- Necessary expertise: 5-7 years:
- A track document in interpreting and submitting application compliance obligations in a business-related setting.
