Procurement Manager at a Leading West African Hub - Premium Human Resource Solution in Mushin, Lagos

Position Overview

The Procurement Manager will supervise our procurement and vendor management processes. The preferred candidate will be in charge of procurement quality goods, discussing terms favorable agreements, and making sure the productive and cost-efficient purchase of kitchen and culinary service tools, refrigeration, and laundry initiatives for our West African hub.

Primary duties

• Formulate and execute procurement plans that match with business targets.
• Recognize, assess, and oversee suppliers/vendors to guarantee on-time completion excellent quality goods at attractive expenses.
• Bargain agreements, terms, and pricing with vendors to lead cost savings and ensure adherence with guidelines.
• Supervise the comprehensive procurement process, which includes requisitions, buy orders, and supplies.
• Track stock levels to assist business needs while minimizing excess inventory.
• Ensure vendor adherence with organisation qualifications on quality, dispatch timelines, and cost guidelines.
• Preserve and modify vendor databases, procurement records, and documentation using procurement software (Sage).
• Work alongside internal departments (sales, technical, and processes) to projection requirement and align procurement strategies.
• Oversee procurement financial plans and monitor productivity against set KPIs.
• Head and train the procurement team, making sure compliance to industry standards and ongoing development.

Role expectations

• Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree in Stock Chain, Procurement, Business Management, or a relevant field.
• At least 5 years’ demonstrated expertise in procurement and vendor management.
• Solid understanding of vendor procurement, stock chain management, and deal discussion.
• Competence in procurement software (especially Sage).
• Effective guidance and team lead competencies.
• Outstanding logical, bargain, and agreement administration abilities.
